What happens before a contribution settles, and what happens after.

This Refund Policy explains what happens to a contribution before it is paid, what happens after it has been paid, and what to do if you think a payment went wrong. It forms part of the DaysLive Terms of Service and should be read together with them and with the Privacy Policy.

1. Who this policy is from

DaysLive is operated by Ehsaan Abdul Sami, an individual operator based in India. DaysLive is not represented in this Refund Policy as an incorporated company or other registered legal entity.

For anything in this Refund Policy, including a suspected duplicate charge, an unrecognised payment or a refund question, the operator can be reached at ehsaan.suhail20@gmail.com.

Payments on DaysLive are processed by PayPal. PayPal is the only payment provider DaysLive uses.

2. Contributions are non-refundable, with exceptions

Except where a refund, reversal, chargeback, dispute remedy or other remedy is required by applicable law or is available under applicable payment-provider rules, successfully processed contributions are non-refundable.

In particular, DaysLive generally does not provide voluntary refunds for a change of mind, for choosing the wrong birthday profile, or for entering an amount incorrectly. A contribution is a payment made in connection with taking part in DaysLive, and it takes effect on the public board as soon as it settles.

So please check the birthday profile and the amount before you confirm payment.

This policy does not create a refund window, a cancellation period or a right to withdraw a settled contribution, and it does not promise that a refund will be granted in any particular case. Any refund decision is made in accordance with the Terms of Service, applicable law and the payment provider's rules.

3. Before a contribution settles

A contribution counts only once PayPal confirms the payment to the DaysLive servers. Reaching a checkout or approval screen is not the same as having paid.

If you abandon a contribution before it completes, by closing the PayPal window or leaving the page, nothing is charged, no total changes and no ranking moves. An unpaid attempt may remain in the DaysLive records as an unpaid entry. It is never shown on the public activity feed and never counts toward any total.

The same is true of a payment that fails or is declined: it does not become a completed contribution, and it does not affect any total or ranking.

One thing is worth being precise about rather than reassuring. If PayPal has already authorized a payment that was then not captured, the authorization may remain on PayPal's side until it is voided or expires under PayPal's own rules, and DaysLive does not control how long that takes. DaysLive does not treat such a payment as a completed contribution, and it does not count toward any total. If you see an authorization or a pending amount you did not expect, contact us at ehsaan.suhail20@gmail.com and you can also check it with PayPal directly.

4. Duplicate, unauthorized or incorrect payments

The DaysLive payment system is built so that a duplicate browser action, a repeated request, or a repeated notification from PayPal cannot create a second charge or count the same payment twice.

If you nevertheless believe that a payment was unauthorized, charged twice, charged in error, or processed incorrectly, contact us promptly at ehsaan.suhail20@gmail.com. It helps to include:

  • the date and time of the payment;
  • the amount;
  • the birthday profile or date you were backing; and
  • any reference PayPal gave you for the transaction.

We will investigate and, where appropriate, coordinate with PayPal. Where a payment turns out to be unauthorized, duplicated or incorrectly processed, or where a refund or other remedy is required or available under applicable law or PayPal's rules, it will be handled on that basis. This is not a promise that a refund will be granted in a case where none is required or available.

Please do not send card details, passwords or full payment credentials by email. DaysLive does not receive or store them and cannot use them.

5. Disputes and chargebacks through PayPal

PayPal operates its own dispute, claim, reversal, chargeback and buyer-protection processes. Those processes belong to PayPal, run under PayPal's terms and rules, and may apply independently of this Refund Policy. You may raise a dispute with PayPal directly, and you may have rights or remedies against PayPal under its own terms.

DaysLive does not control and does not guarantee the outcome of a PayPal dispute or claim.

Where PayPal reverses, refunds or otherwise adjusts a payment, DaysLive records that outcome and adjusts its own records accordingly, as described in the next section. A contribution may therefore be reversed, refunded, removed from a total or otherwise adjusted because of a payment failure, reversal, refund, fraud review, chargeback, dispute, duplicate transaction, provider action or legal requirement.

Contacting us first is usually quicker for a simple duplicate or an obvious error, but nothing here requires you to do so before using PayPal's process.

6. How a refund is processed and what it changes

DaysLive does not have a self-service refund button. A refund or reversal originates at PayPal, either because we asked PayPal to send one back or because PayPal itself reversed the payment, and DaysLive records the result that PayPal reports.

When a refund is recorded, it is recorded against the original payment rather than as a separate transaction, and a repeated notification about the same refund cannot subtract the same money twice.

The refunded amount is deducted from the total that the contribution counted toward, so a refund can change a birthday profile's position on its date. A contribution that has been refunded in full stops counting entirely and no longer appears on the public activity feed.

A refund is returned to the original PayPal payment method. It cannot be sent to a different account, and DaysLive cannot pay a refund out by any other means.

How long a refund takes to appear is determined by PayPal and by your bank or card issuer, not by DaysLive, so this policy does not state a processing time. PayPal will normally be able to tell you the status of a specific refund.

Records of a contribution and of any refund against it are retained after the refund, as described in the Privacy Policy, because they are needed for accounting, fraud prevention, reconciliation and the resolution of any later dispute.

7. Your legal rights

Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

That includes, where they apply to you, rights relating to unauthorized transactions, duplicate or erroneous charges, payment-provider reversals, disputes and chargebacks, and any circumstance in which a refund or other remedy is required or available under applicable law or under the payment provider's rules.

This Refund Policy does not state, and should not be read as stating, that a statutory cancellation or cooling-off right does or does not apply to a contribution. Where such a right applies to you as a matter of law, it applies regardless of what this policy says.

If you are not satisfied with how a payment or refund question has been handled, write to ehsaan.suhail20@gmail.com and say what happened and what outcome you are looking for.

Publication note: This Refund Policy forms part of the DaysLive Terms of Service and is intended to be read together with them and with the Privacy Policy. Where this policy and the Terms of Service address the same matter, the Terms of Service govern. It describes an individual operator and does not create or represent an incorporated entity. Mandatory rights under applicable law remain unaffected.
